Lost Souls

The skeletons are scattered throughout the ship, some stand idle, hunched in corners, lost in thought or forgotten routine. Others slowly reach out toward Vee as she passes, not out of aggression, but as if seeking help... or simply acknowledging her presence in the gloom.
They are not enemies. They are echoes, silent metaphors for people lost to their own sorrow, who never made it through their grief. Some of these skeletons are locked in place, while others move in unsettling, jittery loops, stuck in emotional limbo.
Vee’s task is not to defeat them, but to guide them, to lead them toward beams of warm light that pierce through the mist. When a skeleton steps into the light, it stops, stands tall, and vanishes gently into particles, finally at peace.
These skeletons are not just ghosts, they are the visual representation of unresolved grief. By helping the skeletons, Vee isn’t just rescuing others she’s practicing compassion for herself, learning that even in the darkness, there’s a way forward if you keep moving.
